Created by world renowned neuroscientists, Alena is a 100% app-based solution that helps you understand what drives your social anxiety and puts cutting-edge support at your fingertips.

Alena is designed to help you understand the causes of social anxiety in real-life. You’ll get access to Alena’s unique neuroscience-based assessments to get your cognitive profile for social anxiety and understand what the key drivers of it are.

You’ll then get a personalized treatment plan designed to target your specific drivers. Alena uses a combination of cognitive restructuring and exposure experiments to help you gradually change your thoughts and behaviour, giving you more confidence in challenging situations.

In a recent clinical study, 74% of people who completed Alena’s course saw a clinically significant improvement in their symptoms after just 4 weeks of regular usage. To see the best results we recommend you use Alena for 3 months for an average of an hour per week.

How does the Alena approach work?

Our scientists created novel, interactive assessments that simulate real-life situations to assess the four main mental patterns that perpetuate your social anxiety.

When you download Alena, you will assess yourself on these key patterns, which are Beliefs, Attention, Rumination, and Avoidance.

Based on your unique social anxiety profile, you will receive a personalized plan to shift those patterns and overcome social anxiety in an evidence-based way.

Your treatment will include a targeted course of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), including exposure exercises. It covers the full course of therapy for social anxiety that you would go through with a therapist in a face-to-face setting.

If any difficult emotions come up or you’re just having a bad day, you will have access to a library of mindfulness-based exercises that can help you feel better in minutes and are available for you 24/7. Take a look at the Recharge tab to try mindfulness-based exercises or share your challenges or questions with the Community.

You’re not alone. Our supportive and anonymous community of other users is there to enable you to speak to others who share similar experiences.

Precautions

CBT and digital therapy apps like Alena arent a fit for all mental health needs. Alena is not a crisis management tool and does not provide a diagnosis - only a medical provider can do that.
